In the summer of 2015 I interned at Northern Lakes Economic Alliance based out of Boyne City, Michigan. Through this organization, my fellow intern and I worked with two non-profit organizations - Up North Trails and Top of Michigan Trails Council - in an effort to promote the trails systems prominent throughout northern lower Michigan. We created a trail blog, designed several newsletters, produced interviews and promotional videos, grew their social media presence , and took/edited over 1,000 photographs of the trails. All of this material was then distributed to various organizations and groups across northern lower Michigan.
